I just received my MSI GX620 as my first laptop and when I tried to turn it on it wouldn't respond so I figured this to be because the battery needed to be charged. I plugged it in and the battery light came on but after about 2 hours I went to check on it and the light was out so I assumed it was charged.

When I tried to turn it on again it still does nothing. I plugged it back in thinking it might need to be charged more but now there is no battery light and no sign of it working.

Am I doing something wrong or is there a problem with the laptop and/or battery?

Any suggestions will be greatly appreciated.

well first things first... what I would do is take out the battery and then plug the charger in to the wall...then before i plug it into the laptop see if theres a green light saying that the brick is working....then Plug it into the computer without the batter to see if it will turn on and post...if it does that go ahead and plug the battery back into the laptop and see if it works

I called the place I bought it from and they suggested that I try taking out the battery and hold down the power button. Then he suggested that I find if there is a reset button and press that and if that doesn't work call msi.

I'd feel a lot better about this if the battery light would turn on LOL
