    Hi all there,
Long time here and my first problem.
I've recently bought the MSI GX620 and got M$ Win XP 32bit on it.

My problem is as follows - the machine has 4 gigs of ram but the OS detects only 2 ! Can't get it - what is the reason ? I read about that kind of problem but on other brands and it was all about 32 and 64 bits, not the one like mine.

Can some one help me out ? - I've checked the BIOS - 4 gigs detected. OS - only 2.

Also got another problem - when the notebook is on battery it's possible to crash the KBD - everything's working correctly but not the KBD and sensors on top of it. To resolve the problem need to remove and replace the battery (hard restart :) ). This happens mainly when downloading with Opera 10 through a HTTP file server from my main PC which is far away from where I'm now.

If someone can help me out I'd really appreciate it.

    Zeerax

I use 4GB Corsair Gaming Memory on my MS-1651 and it detects around 3GB+, but not 2GB. Hmm...

Was your WinXP with all the included Service Packs and updates?

Yours is detecting 3gb because its only a 32bit os, but why zeerax's only detects 2gb is beyond me.

EDIT: Just read you're using XP 32bit. Thats probably why. Was it detecting any more than that when it was Vista 32?

    Lol c'mon I'm not lame - I know what I install and what do I have - XP SP3.
About the other problem - could it be an overheating ?
