How the heck am I supposed to take advantage of my home theater setup if there is only 2 channels piped through the HDMI port? Where is that digital port displayed in the hd audio manger supposed to be?
My TV and receivers only support hdmi, spdif coax and toslink optical...

If you open the HD audio manager you will see a tab; "digital". Click the digital tab and select "default device". This will enable the digital output.
Also what is the source you are playing? If it is only stereo you will only receive a 2 channel output. The audio track has to be recorded in a 5:1 or above format if you are expecting it to play through your home theatre in anything above a 2 channel format.
