Can we make a GX620 to support quad core processors?

unless they mod the bios we cant but tbh the duals run hot as it is in this system im sure a quad would be toasty.. a t9400 runs at around 40-44deg while the exact same chip placed in a clevo chassis ran at 36 so the msi runs a bit hotter for sure. quads would make this a leg warmer for sure

But the current BIOS (1.0U) indicates Quad is supported, I see the CPU uCode, can someone with a Quad and GX620 to verify it?

Both GX620 & GX720 have the same CPU uCode list, so unless the BIOS is able to detect what type of PC you have then we have to hack the BIOS so it will fully support the Quad core.

Common BIOS? The GX720 is a 17" with superior cooling. Also, it's not just BIOS support, it's also motherboard/power support and cooling capabilities.

Yeah, it's not just a BIOS issue. It is MB support for the slight pin out change and cooling.

    I can almost guarantee you a Quad won't work in a 620.
