So, the touchpad on my GX600 suddenly died last night. I accidentally hit Fn+F3, which disabled the touchpad (was trying to reduce backlight brightness with Fn+F4), but on pressing Fn+F3 again to turn it back on, System Control Manager came up saying that the touchpad was back on, but the touchpad was still unresponsive to touch. I reinstalled the driver, then installed a Synaptics touchpad driver, both of which recognize the touchpad, but neither recognize that its not working properly. I'm currently carrying an external mouse to use the computer, which works, but I still would like the touchpad.

Ideas for what is wrong and how to fix it? Thanks.

Remove the battery and a/c for 1 hour. This will reset all functions to the default (on or off). Touchpad by default will be normally on.

Ok, will do that when I get home and see if that fixes the problem.

    Thanks for your help!
