so i have my trusty gx600 and just today i start it up and the fan is barely moving and loud, after it gets a little warm it goes back to normal, but i have a feeling it is going soon, is there any thing i can do? will msi help me at all seeing as this is far out of warranty? i really love this laptop and i dont have the money to buy a new one any time soon

see if they will cross ship a replacement part for it, I would imagine its pretty easy to replace.

That happened to my GT627. I sent it to repair and in 1 week was ready. They just replaced the fan, easy task. No cost for me obviously, incluiding pick up service ;)
