    Hello everyone,

I've had a MSI GX600 009 performance edition for 1 year and a half now and I'm pleased with it.

However, I bought 2x2GB ram module to upgrade it from 2GB to 4 GB.

The manual says the max memory possible is 2GB. However the chip should support more.

I've installed 2x2GB and the laptop powers on but the screen remains blank.
I tried with one 2GB module and one 1GB module same thing happened.

I tried with only one 2GB module and it works normally.

Has anyone been able to upgrade it past 2GB memory ?

    Thank you for your help

There must be a limitation on the BIOS and that's why your system cannot accept beyond 2GB.

Yes I used to have the GX600 laptop also, great laptop, love the over clocking ability. If I remember correctly there is a BIOS upgrade you will need to get it to recognize the 4GB. Might want to check with RK Computers, Frosty Computers, etc. to see if they have it and can email you it. Hope this helps. God Bless :)
