I have the 1680 x 1050 Matte model and it looks great. No glare, etc. Hope this helps. God Bless :)

How is the overall build quality of your GX600? Most reviews are not very good.

My opinion the build quality is very good. I like the full keyboard and the way it feels compared to the Gateway P-6860FX. The keyboard on the GX600 to me just seems more durable. My laptop seems to be very solid, have not had any problems with it. I currently even have it dual booted with MAC OS X Lepoard and Vista Premium, each with 1/2 the hard drive partitioned for each OS. I think it easily loaded because 75% or more of the parts on this laptop is probably similar or like the current 15.4 inch MacBook Pro, I will not go on about it as it may not be allowed here so if you are interested in this, just PM me. The rest of the build quality of this laptop again is great. The only bad is that it picks up fingerprints very easily as it has a piano like finish. Very few 15.4 inch laptops come with high resolution screen of 1680 x 1050, most come with 1440 x 900 or lower. One of the best things about this laptop also is that the BIOS allows overclocking of the Video Card memory, CPU, FSB, etc. I hope this helps answer some of your questions. God Bless :)

Which version do you have? I'm looking for the GX600-9333VHP.

The build quality of mine is quite good. The chassis feels solid, nothing squeaks or creeks when you pick it up.
The keyboard has a bit of a "sponginess" to it that needs some getting used to,but its nothing out of the ordinary among laptops.
I really have only 2 complains about the build quality:
1.When closed and you press on the lid cover it flexes quite a bit.
    2. The optical drive placement.Every time i pick it up i press the button and it opens.
