Take a look at this picture, it's pretty self-explanitory what my issue is.

I have tried enabling/disabling powernow from the bios, updated all drivers, tried using SpeedSwitchXP, and even tried manually editing the registry to update to 2200mhz.

The registry fix works temporarilly (until restart) for a few of the games I play (they won't let me start them with the system only showing 800mhz).

This is quite troubling, and there has to be a way to fix it.

    Laptop specs:
    MSI GX-710 (MS-171A Whitebook)
Windows Vista/XP Pro Dual boot (Both OS's have the exact same issue)
    AMD Turion TL-64 Processor
    4gb DDR2
    160gb SATA2 HDD
    ATI Radeon HD2600 w/512 Dedicated

Ouch... I take this has been happening from the begining? As in, since you bought the machine? Otherwise think back and see what you changed. Also could it be possible you got the wrong bios update? Possibly role it back to the original bios?

Another solution may possibly be to revert the laptop back? Complete format and reinstall? Recovery disc maybe? I'm not quite sure and that would suck if you've got plenty of stuff on it.

    Have u tried contacting msi?

Sorry for all the questions but they may point you in the right direction...
