I'm having a problem with getting the 4965agn driver loaded. I've tried loading version 11.5.0.0 from Intel. When it extracts it dumps files to program files\intel. I go to control panel and select update driver on the network controller and point to the the driver subfolder in the above directory and I get no drivers available.

I go to windows explorer and see several drivers and programs. I've run the iPRODifX application and nothing changes.

Prior to this the driver would work sometimes and then fail. I turned the laptop off for a day, turned it on and it was 50-50 if it would work.

I've turned the card on using the softkey. I have a green light showing which is suppose to mean wireless on.

I've tried to reload XP but XP fails to see the mass storage controller and I have no idea what driver I would need to use to get that to work.

I think I've got a fix. I found another driver version 11.1.0.100. I used the iProdifx.exe file and Vista immediately grabbed and loaded the driver. The Wlan connection fired right up. This was simple. Now the question is how long will it hold?

While updating Vista, I noticed a driver update for the Intel 4965. I've skipped that for now. I want to do further testing to see if the 11.1.0.100 driver is stable. If so, I'll upgrade and see how the new one works out.

I get home from work and fire up the laptop and the NIC fails to work. Same error as before. Spent 2 hours troubleshooting. I fired off an email to the company I bought it from and will wait to see what they have to say.
