Can ANYONE play this game on a GT70? How do you get it to utilize the nVidia card?

Where did you find the driver? The latest on the MSI site is 305.93 and the latest on nVidia's site is 304 something.

Use the "search for Updates" inside the nVidia Software ... but be sure that Beta versions will be shown ... then the software finds this update.

I got the game working by adding the -norestrictions in the launch properties of steam. Runs pretty well.
As for updating the nVidia driver, when I click check for updates it says it's unable to connect to nVidia.

But it's still running using your integrated card right?

The other poster was talking about the Beta Legacy Drivers (306.02 being the latest)

I just want to know if anyone's installed it for the 670m? And if it worked fine...

I don't think so. I'm running it at full res with 8x ansiotropic filtering and everything on high with max viewing distance and it's running fine.

Try performing a benchmark test in the settings. Tells you what's getting used.

Sure enough...The intel chip is getting used on the benchmark. With the graphics all the way up, there are still textures missing, but only during the benchmark. When playing, it looks great. I really believe it's using the nVidia when playing...

Last time I had it installed I also used the no restriction edit in the games properties in Steam. Alt-Tab out and you'll see in the Nvidia GPU monitor that it's not being used.

I installed GTA4 yesterday on my GT70 with the 680M and it seems its running on the intel graphics card as well here. Something wasn't right as I was in 1600x900 and I had to turn down the view/detail distances to about 18 to get any smooth performance. I ran the benchmark and low and behold it showed the intel graphics and not my gtx 680m.

I tried creating the commandline.txt file and adding -norestrictions but its just adjusting for the intel card anyway. I also ran GPUZ and compared the 2 cards temps and the intel was at 70C with the gtx 680m at 55C so GTA4 definitely only ran off of the intel card even though my Power Button was in RED. Strange. Lets get this fixed!
