So i recently got my GT83VR and its running really well!

However i am having an issue where my computer would just randomly shut down

I have been monitoring temps, CPU and GPU is never going over 80c

The usage is not close to 100% either.

I have been tinkering a lot with the system to the point where i have even done a clean install of windows however the problem still persists.

I have managed to figure out that if i disable SLI the shut downs stop.

I am suspecting a power issue?

    Any thoughts guys?

I have permanently disabled SLI... None of the games i play support it anyway lol.

Check if your battery is securely plugged in, otherwise I guess your power supply is in bad shape

Could be the GTX 1070 bug from 2016.

Yes still under warranty. Only issue is i am over seas at the moment. Would prefer to fix the issue myself. I am hoping its just a loose cable somewhere just have no idea where to start.

@Falkentyne I read about this but never heard of it affecting GT83VRs only GT73?

Could it be an issue with the SLI Bridge?

Update: Could be an over heating issue - been monitoring my temps more and using cool boost permanently. No shut downs so far. Been playing a few hours of GTA V
