Any idea how to remediate it?

None of the adjustments work. Mike is set to max.

An external mike does not improve the situation any. The sound seems to come from far away and is weak, based on what I am told.

Were you able to get this resolved?
    1. Update Realtek HD Audio driver.
    2. Were you testing the internal microphone? What about an external one?
