Hello everyone! New user here. I bought my laptop in 2011 and last Monday my gpu got fried (and some motherboard components apparently) i took it to the repair shop and they told me they had to replace the card and fix the motherboard. They said they would replace it with the same card gtx 570m. I got a message that the laptop would be ready on Monday but they had "upgraded" me to the 650m at no extra cost. The performance of the 650m is inferior to the 570m but I figured they couldn't get the 570m as is out of production. Now, I don't want the 650...so I was looking if I can possibly make the Gtx 680m work on the laptop?? My only options right now is upgrade the gpu or buy a new computer and one is significantly more expensive than the other lol. Please help

So the 680m should be fine then...? Without needing to mod anything?

it will depend on the card and vBIOS, but yeah, should be no issue.
