    Hello

I have tried to search the forums, but could really use a complete answer from the upgrade 'pros' in here.

    I currently own a MSI GT780DX which have a GTX570M 1.5GB GDDR5 installed.
It is running stock newest motherboard BIOS v. 10H from 10/28/2011

What type of GPU could i upgrade to? And what is needed? Custom BIOS/vBIOS?

Could i choose the GTX580M/GTX680M? Or the HD6990/HD7970M?
    - Maybe point me to some threads which these upgrades have been done?

    My Best Regards
    Christian

I done a 6990m into my GT780dx at the begining of the year all went well but i couldn't get HDMi sound to work at all, worked fine with the 570m in place. Other's had no problem's there is a thread on here somewhere, you need a different heatsink cover.

Personally I would look to go for a 670m or 680m then at least you can keep the turbo boost button working.
