    Hi,

I tried to replace my GTX570M with a GTX670MXM.The card did fit in very well and with the pads provided the cooler wasn't an issue either.
Unfortunately the machine didn't want to boot.

I tried to replace the BIOS and flashed the latest stock bios of the GT780DX which does work without any problems with the GTX570M - but still does not work with the GTX670MX.
"Doesn't work" reads as: Fan and power led turn on - screen is blank/black - seems not to boot.

I spent a lot of time on the net but I came to a point where I need the help of a real proffessional to find out what is the issue:

    - VBIOS ? The new card is intended for a DELL Alienware M17x. Maybe there is an issue with optimus not beeing available ?
    - BIOS ? Missing entry in whitelist ?
    - Power ? Should not be an issue as the GTX570M is about the same TDP as the GTX670MXM.

Any hints or help would be highly appreciated.

    Best regards

The MS-1761 (Serie 6 Intel Chipset) don´t support Kepler Cards. Only the Quadro K5000M is working... the Radeon HD7970M/8970M is the fastest card for your device.

There are also heatsinks available and you don't have to worry about enduro issues so the 7970M is a good choice for it.

    Much faster than the 670MX.

Keep an eye on the forums marketplace. I see them for sale all the time. Pic up a Dell card, and pick up a MSI 7970m heatsink from MajesterMSI. He is active here on the forums, and he might still have some in stock. Also I have a spare brand new MSI 7970m heatsink lying around that I purchased for him. If you're interested PM me.

This will probably be one of your best bets; that and eBay.
