Really hoping to see the RTX 2070/2080 appear in the GT75 or maybe 76. Seems to be the only laptop that could cool them properly. Can’t wait until CES! Supposobly the 2080ti will be making a laptop appearance also. Will be interesting to see the results.

    Will 100% be buying one.

No malice in my post, just letting you know anecdotes dont carry a counter point is all.

I hope it works out, but I remain a cautionary optimist since precedent has been set already.

I agree to be cautious however lumping all RTX cards into one regarding issues isnt fair. Like I said I've had 0 issues with mine. That doesn't make me blind to possible issues however I am hopeful. The GT75 chassis looks to be one that could handle a 2070/2080 In my mind. We shall see what CES brings!

    Give it time :'D

If the company themselves admit that they done goofed, then saying that the cards are fine is being deluded.

Just because you want something to happen doesn't mean you should believe that it will happen. We all want RTX cards on our notebook, but we all know how garbage they are atm. Telling people to stop "hating" because they are not as ignorant as you are is hilarious tho.

With a 2080 probably new price barriers are broken by MSI.

You realize that’s founders cards? My 2080ti FTW3 is a custom PCB.

With recent leaks I’m keeping an eye out for budget friendly configurations. Something that hits close to 1070 performance or better on Turing architecture. Some of these include new 1100 series cards and full 2060 or a 2017 Max Q to get the extra memory. If these cost too much hopefully we will get more reasonable discounts on Pascal cards.

Well that's the problem. notebook 1070s are extremely powerful. when TDP is unlocked it can rival a desktop 1080.
