Hi guys,
My MSI GT740 Inverter that powers the backlight has decided to go faulty on me.
Problem is i cannot seem to source one of these inverters anywhere![]()
Does anyone know where i may be able to obtain one from?
Thank you in advance for the help![]()

What are the specs on the inverter and what's the part number?
I have an inverter from a GT627, dont suppose that could work?
Or maybe this:

mines says S78-3300540-M47.
I have no idea what that means in terms of compatibility.
I would check ebay from time to time. -
considering selling the parts off if anyone is interested let me know!

it would not hurt to try a inverter from another MSi laptop using the same size screen, as long as the BIOS reconizes the inverter it should work.
it can be hit and miss tho. -
Or LCD will be blinking,flash/twiter when brightness is set on half
.

Might not hurt to try another inverter entirely.
I would be interested in buying the laptop from you however!!
You could keep the graphics card and LCD screen. You need 2 more posts to PM, then I will happily take it off your hands! -
Sometime no backlight on lcd is not connected with inverter board
. I have repaired almost 5k of NB MSI so I know them very good. There were some cases with mainboard damage (on mainboard is small chip controlling backlight).
