My GT73 has a flashing yellow light in the center of its 3 frontal LED's. The manual indicates that the battery needs replacing but the manual also says that the battery cannot be replaced on this model (must have been written by Anthony Fauci).

Can anyone let me know how to handle this situation please?

I have already replaced the battery on my GT73VR and it's so easy that a caveman can do it.

Great! How did you do it?
Is there a video available that shows how to? I checked on YouTube but this model was not shown.

full reset is tested ? EC / CMOS
ec 30s or 2x 30s small button "on back-cover" + fully power off notebook

cmos - 45S power button when run
    full bios reset to defaults

for battery - hwinfo "verify WEAR LEVEL ? .,,voltage info"
my GT75 7re is i think identical battery - max 16.5V fully battery

,.,.you don't use BATTERY MASTER !! or remove this + reset above

    what exactly ?

battery master - **** from DRAGON CENTER for customize battery "not use this !"

EC reset ?? EC chip controls all power on notebook --try reset "special hole on cover"
notebook must be fully power off // no AC adapter !!!

CMOS reset - power button 45s "when notebook run" + AC or no AC
it doesn't matter here "full bios RESET - DEFAULTS setup"

battery info or system info -- HWINFO
BATTERY - 16.5V ,.,.AC adapter - around 19.5V in idle -- monitor + GRAPH ---verify random spikes

    translation is OK ??

Why do I need to do an EC and CMOS reset?

I ran HWinfo v7.1.2 but could not see most of the things you asked for.
Here's what the battery reading gave (it doesn't look worn out to me):

battery look good ? 3./. wear level / fully voltage 16.5V

and better is use hwinfo sensor ,,.AC adapter is around d-GPU zone "ppinput"
try idle + load ,..,.,.idle 19.5V .,,..,and minimum allowed voltage under load is 17V or similar

your problem is different ,.,battery look good
    or need only RESETs

device manager ,..any error for device ?? .,d-gpu works ??

example for AC adapter /gpu test
    Bez názvu.png

    edit
EC chip - controls power /temperatures / recharge cycle !

CMOS / bios reset -- is often corrupted - from dragon center / others SW /windows !
.,,.in old topic you write on DragonCenter 2.6 ?? unofficial for this machine + contains battery master ! "battery recharge setup"

or using correct version 1.2-x--x ???

    WHY ?
full reset - completely clears the custom settings .,,.and restore working SETUP
