    Hi,

I would like to know if the GT735 are eligible to get the Windows 7 upgrade here in Canada (in Montreal if that make any difference)??? if yes where and how can I register for it??

Because on the Windows 7 thread, all Canadian had some trouble to have anything from MSI concerning Windows 7... so I just want to know if I should buy this laptop or not

    thanks

Ok, so MSI Canada, says I bought the computer through newegg.ca and its the -218 model, which makes it an American version so I have to get it through the states on msimobile.com. I explained to him that I cant, because theres not option for Canadians, and he said he has no other information or instructions on it. He said maybe call back in a month and he might know more......Ya, so nothing for us Canadians

When I call MSI Canada do I want to talk to the sales department or someone else? I want to know first about Windows 7 for a Canadian Model and it is available for my model ... which is going to be the MSI GX620

i think I have it :D After going there and choosing global as the country(cause canada isn't in the list) I got the whole procedure. It's on this website. ( http://www.msi.com/html/popup/win7/nb_flow_requirement.html)

Then, you go on the website on www.windows7upgradeoption.com (mentionned at step 5) and from that place you can select the country and use the code you received with your order :D

I can't verify if it works, since i have not ordered thus not received my msi, but i hope it helped you.

I know this is a post for the GT735 but there wasn't one of this nature for the one i'm buying ..

On that list it doesn't have the model i'm getting the MSI GX620 ... and on the US site it has it ... i'm not going to buy it if i can't get an upgrade :(

They don't answer the phone ... I called MSI Canada and I tried the sales department ... there are only two representatives and no one answers ... is there someone else we are supposed to call for answers?

Its on the world site now for Canada. You can register, but it doesnt have all the computers. It doesnt have the GT627, so i registered saying i had the gt735. Who knows what will happen now...
