I currently have a Dell WD15 with USB-C cable (not Thunderbolt) and it doesn't do anything when connected to my MSI GT75VR. No charging, no passing USB ports.

It works on a Dell laptop I have, though.

My guess is that it just isn't compatible.

Anyone know what some good USB-C/Thunderbolt ports are to use with this laptop?

    Thanks for any info!

What do you need the dock for? The GT7X line has pretty much all connectivity ports you'd need. For VGA output, you can use a passive HDMI or DisplayPort dongle.

    I'd like a dock, thanks.

Just the usual: USB, HDMI, maybe display port...

I just want to be able to have all my connectors come in through one cable so I only have to unplug/plug in one thing when I move it from my main desk.

Mouse, headset, charging, HDMI... I hate having to disconnect and reconnect all of these everytime. Especially since two are on the back and the charger can only go in one way!
