Has anyone had any problems upgrading the GT725 to the 64bit OS? Just saw one user state that the turbo feature does not work with 64. If you have done this workaround and know of a clean download of the OS, let me know!

Vista x64 will work fine, just go to the msi site and download the latest SCM. It is marked as Vista X32 but functions perfectly in X64, Turbo mode will work as well.

Should I load the SCM first or after installing the OS? If I download a torrent version of the 64bit OS, do I just boot from the disk I create and then load the drivers from MSI website?

    *Download the drivers and SCM.
*Install Vista 64 OEM by booting from the CD and use Vista Product Key below your laptop.
*Install the drivers and then SCM.

So everything works on 64 bit? I was told that although the ECO would work, the Turbo still wouldn't function.

All works perfectly under Vista X64, ECO and Turbo. I cannot post any links but if you look in our forum in the MSI section you will see the GT725 3D06 scores with vista X64 and overclocked.

One more question that I assume you answered, but just to be sure.

The physical ECO and Turbo buttons on the GT725 still function in 64 bit mode correct?

    yes it is...

Here are many Drivers, also for x64 MS-OS's.
Yesterday I installed Vista 64bit. The Power/Eco buttons are working flawlessly.

Overall, Vista 64bit works great with the correct drivers.

That is very nice info tester. Think you could make a post with the links in the GT725 owner lounge? Pretty Please. At least for Vista 64bit.

My german is almost nonexistent and am not eager about learning it now.

Tester, great info. Can these drivers listed in German be used on the US version or is there and English translation for these?

    @ Scuba

Yes! I had bought my GT725 in the USA. here
It was an English version of Vista been installed.
Well, I have now again a German version on it (Vista x64) but the drivers are all also for English or American models.

    Hi,

I'm a GT725-210UK owner and i have some problems with Vista64. I tried to install it 3 times with 2 differents disc and everytime i got the same problem :

After installation windows boot with no problem. After something like 1min, it reboot, and then block at loading screen (the loading bar is animated).

If i try to reboot in safemode the loading freeze on the file crcdisk.sys.

Anybody get the same problem or could help me to fix that?

    thx!
