    Hi all

Please provide your tuning hints for the GT725 in this thread. As example:

    1. Install Vista 64bit

    2. Unlock the advance options in the bios with ALT-Insert. Change the overclock setting for the cpu and ram to 20 or 24 percent. Change the ram to 800mhz

    3. Overclock the GPU with Catalyst Overdrive

    4. Install the Catalyst 9.2 Driver

Do you have other tuning hints?

A registry cleaner like CCleaner would be handy. Its better to use after you've installed and configured everything; this optimisation is not to aggressive, which is awesome.

I also use Vista Smoker after installing windows:

There is a free trial with full functionality, you can apply recommended setting, which does speed things up a bit imo; if you don't feel any difference, just uninstall.

I think its great. The main idea is it does the advanced optimisation for you, as oppose to doing it manually. There is even a built in gaming mode. never tried that though...

Is really possible to set the RAM clock at 800Mhz by the bios itself?

And why overclocking the p9500? It's not safer using turbo mode?

By pushing the turbo button you overclock the CPU and the ram. In the bios you can set the ram clock to 800mhz but it is possible that this is too high when you push additionaly the turbo button...

Thought the RAM in the GT725 was already at 800Mhz? it's PC2-6400 isn't it?

Indeed, on the specs is written 667 Mhz.

    Most probably Tenchu is right.
forcing by yourself the Ram maybe a bit dangerous, using then Turbo Mode.
