    I was wondering if anyone knows what cpu and gpu upgrades can be done with this laptop. I'm really interested in finding out if a nvidia 280 or ati 4870 works in this laptop.

    Ok the CPU can be upgraded as you see in my specs, The GPU is excellent, no need to upgrade, Its just as good as the GTX 280m..

    Yeah its pointless unpgrading, and if you want more kick then just use catalyst control centre for OCing.

    But yes, i believe with a little work to the heatsink (if not already suitable) your upgrades should work fine (ddr 3 for the 4870 though not 5) (atleast i think, but its all down to the cooling again i believe)
