This static read-only archive was pulled by NBR forum users between January 20 and January 31, 2022, in an effort to make sure that the valuable technical information that had been posted on the forums is preserved. For current discussions, many NBR forum users moved over to NotebookTalk.net after the shutdown.

    I am sure that I seen mention in the long 725 owners thread about needing a firmware update for the Blueray drive needed to play the new Bond film.

    I also have that problem but can not find an update apart from the drive makers website but it states that it is not suitable for OEM drives and to contact the laptop makers.

    Is there a MSI update or is the Optiarc driver safe to use?
