Long story short old SSD stopped working was replaced with a new one and when recovering to put fresh OS on SSD it worked fine and I got windows on it. And began uninstalling all the bloatware.

Specifically after uninstalling norton and being prompted to restart the laptop will no long boot up it get stuck in an automatic repair loop with me being unable to restore or refresh because it says drive is locked.

Every now and again ill also get a screen before going to automatic repair that days your laptop needs to be repaired and will give a Boot BCD issue so it's obviously the boot just don't know what else to do.

In BIOS I was able to have the boot load to my USB MSI recovery and get the option to wipe to factory or just wipe OS but it takes me straight back to the automatic repair loop after.

I assume you are referring to a Windows 8 installation and not a Windows 7 installation.

I've experienced problems with the Windows 8 and 8.1 built in recovery.

    It simply doesn't work sometimes.

Every PC owner needs media to do a clean Windows installation or use it to fix problems

IMO the best way to install a new drive in your notebook is with a clean Windows 8.1 installation from a USB 3 flash drive created by unpacking a Windows 8.1 ISO file onto the flash drive using the Microsoft USB/DVD Tool.

After a clean install there's no bloatware files to remove.

Windows 8.1 probably contains drivers for all your hardware except the card reader which you'll need to get from MSI or station-drivers.com.

You can then proceed to download and install the newest drivers, software and utilities.

If you need a Windows 8.1 ISO send me a PM and I'll give you the link to the one on my MEGA account.
