    Hello,

I have had my MSI gt70 for two years now and I wonder if anyone has had the same issue as I do:
-The touch panel sensor (the touch sensitive buttons above the keyboard) are not working at some times and sometimes it does.
The only workaround I found is to reboot my computer. I tried restarting the MSI SCM service but it didn't work.

Is there any way to turn on the speedfan / turbo boost manually apart from using the touch panel? like an fn key or configuration.

    Thank you.

    EDIT:
Rebooting the system does not solve it, the lights on the touch panel still glows from the things that were previously enabled, but it doesn't respond when I press it.
I cannot find any links for MSI SCM for windows 7 and the windows 8 version does not work with the touch panel.

I wish MSI gave an alternate button to enable Turbo Fan, it's the only thing I need.
SpeedFan software did not detect GPU temp and didn't support my card aswell.

I'm so far away from MSI if the option is to send it back and I think my warranty is over.

Should I try a last resort and check the hardware inside?

Can you go to BIOS and verify your current BIOS and EC firmware versions?
Maybe it's an EC firmware issue but we will have to check and find out.
