So it's been a few years since I've last posted. Last time I was here, I'd recently switched from a G73JH to a GT70. Since then, the video card has managed to die. The laptop itself is out of warranty by now, but beyond the video card, it's still in fantastic condition. However, without the dedicated video card, there is really no reason for me to use it. I can confirm that a component on the card itself actually fried, and a component is visibly charred. I've seen some replacements around eBay, but they all seem to have similar issues, so I'm wary to buy from somewhere that I can't get after-sale support.

Leading me to my question for you guys. Does anyone know where I can get a confirmed working GTX670M so that I can replace mine and bring my laptop back to life?

You can try to call MSI directly 626-913-0828 and see if they have one.

Depending on the cost to upgrade, you can look into installing a 970m/980m on your machine. The 970m should be the better choice, considering the cost to do so.

    That's kind of my issue.

I should be clear, I've attempted contact with MSI and have been unsuccessful up to this point.

While I've certainly considered going bigger, the only place I've really found so far has been Eurocom, and the cost slides up significantly, almost to $1000CAD for the 980M, and $700 for the 970M. They also have the 670M (3Gb like mine), but the cost is still pretty insane ($550CAD). I'm mostly trying to figure out an alternative, because if I'm going to drop $1000 on an upgrade, so to speak, it's almost more worth it to just buy something new entirely.

Essentially, I've been trying to find some kind of alternative, and haven't been successful so far, so I'm reaching out to you guys.
