So I have a GT70 2PC and decided to update my firmware and bios because I am thinking about upgrading the GPU.

I first upgraded the EC to 1763EMS1.517 and everything was fine

I then upgraded the Bios to E1763IMS.50V because I was coming from 50T. Again everything was fine.

I then upgrade the Bios to E1763IMS.51B and everything seemed to go fine until I went in to Windows. Once I was in windows I ended up getting a something went wrong screen in Windows 10 then the system rebooted. Now every time it goes in to windows it is extremely slow and seems to eventually hang.

Any ideas would be greatly appreciated.

    Format Win10 to the hell?
Or power drain your laptop (remove AC, battery, press power for 5 seconds).

Win10 has been noticed with so many troubles including messing with BIOS that I'm not surprised at all if format and Win7/8 install won't help at all.

Can you post your System Information screen under main menu of BIOS setup?

So I flashed the bios back to E1763IMS.50V and everything seems to be working fine now (fingers crossed)

What would be the best way to post the system information screen? Take a picture of it?

    Thanks

Yup, use your phone to take pictures, then posted it here directly, or use imgur.

Did you use BIOS UEFI update function to update BIOS? Or in Windows?

It works so let it be so. Next time just remember that after flashing BIOS you need to go into it and set Default settings. If you encounter problems then power drain laptop too.

MSI and other suggest to power drain laptop immediately after BIOS flash but I have never done it so don't suggest this.

Thank you Kevin! Is it safe to go from E1763IMS.50V to 51D ? I am kind of scared to update the bios again after what happened.
