Hello everyone! I'm new here and I do not know very well how things work but let's haha Well I'd like your help to know if I can change my screen and my graphics card. I have a GT70 2QD Dominator and would like to put a 1440p 120hz screen instead of the 1080p 60hz and a gtx 1060 mobile instead of my gtx 970m. If anyone can help me I will be very grateful !!

According to this link the screen uses eDP but I dont know if this is grounded in fact.

    https://www.overclockers.co.uk/msi-...-ddr3-128gb-ssd-nvidia-gtx-970-lt-177-ms.html

IF that is the case the you should be able to get the 1060 working but I doubt it will be plug and play. You will likely need to modify the heatsink to fit the 1060 correctly.

As for the screen, since it looks like no one has pulled the trigger in the past, it will be trial and error to see if it works unless of course you find someone with experience or witnessed it. I couldnt find a link for that.

So your laptop uses the 40 pin connector?

I cant seem to find solid evidence that its eDP, which is the signal type that the 1060 supports.

Yes, 40 pin connector. I think it will not really plug and play the gtx 1060. And the only ones I found were those on amazon. At least everything I've found so far has shown that the model is one of those. ( https://www.amazon.com/GTX-1060-Upg...d=1529727335&sr=8-1&keywords=gtx+1060+eurocom) (https: // www.amazon.com/GTX-1060-Upgrade-Clevo-P150EM/dp/B076TG7GQ3/ref=sr_1_2?ie=UTF8&qid=1529727335&sr=8-2&keywords=gtx+1060+eurocom)

What about the machine specifically? I know a bit about computers, nothing exceptional.
