Wanted to see if anyone else is having an issue with their touchpad/trackpad. When I go to use the pad, if I start from the very edge of the trackpad, it doesn't register the mouse cursor but it does register in the software as the synaptics icon in the bottom right taskbar is lite up with green, if I take off the finger then start in the middle it will sometimes even still have an issue.

Hope it's not just me but with my luck it is and I will need to get a replacement laptop as I just got this thing yesterday.

Sounds as though it's technically working but it just needs some sensitivity tuning.

Well as it was updating the windows tonight I was using the trackpad I would assume with no synaptics driver or software, and now the trackpad doesn't have this issue on the update screen, so you are correct, just need to figure out what settings need to change, I k ow ken thing I hate is the Windows 8 menu when you swipe left. Thanks for the help

I was able to find a place that had some registry settings you can modify for Windows 8 to remove the ability of it to have that issue. New issue that seems to have "cropped up" while I was trying some games out on the new laptop, if I use the trackpad and keyboard, if I have two keys pressed (example moving forward and strafing left) the touchpad wouldn't take any input at all...

I emailed MSI support and they said that it should be fine for up to 8 key presses but they didn't mention anything about the touchpad. It's not a huge deal just a pain for when I'm not using my external mouse and hope it's something that can be corrected with some software tweaks or some other options.
