    Hi, i'm considering buying the GT70 20C 014BE
I was wondering if all motherboards of the GT70 2OC series are the same ?
Do they all have the 3mSATA slots for the ssd's ?

Reason i ask is because the version i wanna buy does not have the 2 x 128GB ssd preinstalled, the one that does costs 300 euro more.
I would buy the cheaper version and install the three ssd myself if possible
    Can i use 256gb ssd's or higher ?
Also is the gt70 20c still a good choice at this time or are there better machines in same price range ?

If anyone knowledgeable about this topic could give me satisfying answer on this it would be much appreciated :D

    Regards Vize

If a system has 1 mSATA on shipping then it can take up to 3, if it ships with none it will have a 2.5" bay instead.

To be fair most users will get by just fine with 2x2.5" gen3 bays :D

Of course, the downside to that is expansion and flexibility in terms of options - having a hard limit of 3x2.5" instead of 3xmSata + 2x2.5".

Well sort of because the 2.5" drives can have twice the storage of the mSATA, it all comes out in the wash in the end really.

:D I overlooked this , it was not on the specs page so i did not see it right away.

    "GT70 i7-4700MQ 12GB 750GB W8 17.3"
Exclusive Super RAID 2 technology with 3 SSD RAID0 gives you over 1500MB/s reading speed!!

SuperRAID 2 design gives the storage performance up to 1500MB/s storage performance on MSI GT series, the reading, writing and saving speeds is 15x faster than a single 750GB 7200rpm HDD.

And one more HDD can be installed in the same laptop without the need to expand the size to put recovery system, to backup and put more data."

Sales page is the same on both types so upgrading won't be a problem :p it even gives me option to buy faster ssd i supose.

I'm back :D i received an email from msi support saying it would not be possible to install the ssd later since the device would be shipped without the super raid pcb ...
On the msi main site there is talk about super raid being optional but on sales page they advertise super raid 2 on both models.
    I actually ordered this model this morning MSI laptop: GT70 2OC-014BE GT70 2OC-014BE - Centralpoint.be
Anyone can give me definitive answer if it will be shipped with msata bridge ?
I'll probably contact their customerservice by phone in the morning hoping they can give me definitive answer
