Sorry for another thread asking this... but the entire MSI line is foreign to me in terms of what it can readily manage.

I know what Alienware, Sager, and even the Gigabyte machines can handle (as far as temps are concerned) but what's the GT70 like?

Say, the 4700MQ and the 780M?

4700MQ + 780M averages out at up to 85-90 C under full load but you shouldn't be concerned.
If concerned, then you can press the Cooler Boost button to activate the turbo fan feature which will crank up the fan speed however fan noise will become noticeable.

If you repaste and use the correct thermal pads you can lower that by about 5-10C.

Which thermal pads and size (mm) do you suggest meaker? I am currently using high peformance 1mm pads from FrozenCPU.

Some reported the use of 0.5mm is better than the original 1mm.

The originals are a mix of 1mm and 1.5mm as far as I can tell but 0.5mm sits everything perfectly so long as you apply it correctly.

My temps never reach 90C, and I don't use the turbo fan. This is with everything running stock speeds.
