I was hoping someone can confirm for sure that all the GT683 models have 2 HDD bays. I'm specifically looking at the GT683R-664US which comes with 2x500GB HDD in RAID 0 v.s. a GT683-876US that only comes with 1x500GB. I don't need the extra HDD (I plan on using an SSD as the boot drive) so I would rather get the GT683-876US with 1x500GB to save about $200 + tax but I want to confirm that it indeed has and extra HDD bay.

I can confirm, all MSI NB have 2 HDD bays so I advise you to go for the single HDD cfg :)

You wont get the metal bracket that lets you screw it in place, though its something you can get hold of and if you wedge a piece of paper in would do the job.

Any idea what the bracket looks like? I tried to look for one but couldn't find anything for the GT683. Most drive bay brackets were intended for the ODD port.
Also I think there's not need for an interposer to connect the drive to the SATA port, right?

Meaker or I can take a photo of this bracket - it's really hard to find it but you should get away without it.

You don't need any interposer otherwise.
