How do you guys remove the battery cable? It is very annoying because of the tape on top of the cables. I am just pulling the cables to disconnect it. There has to be a better way because I hate disconnecting stuff by pulling the cable.

I take no responsibility for you damaging anything. Honestly if you are asking this I think you should be taking your laptop into a certified repair facility. Pulling on a ribbon cable is a sure way of breaking either the connector or the cable.

There are two types of internal battery connectors. If you have a ribbon cable style remove the tape gently and place it on a piece of wax paper. take a plastic pry tool or guitar pick and GENTLY pry on the tab until it releases. Now the ribbon cable should release with next to no effort.

If it is a plastic molex style connector use a small plastic pry tool or small flat head and gently pry on each side under the raised bevels. When the pressure fit releases it should come out with next to no effort.

Is it this picture in your model?

If it is just grab the tabs on the edge of the white molex connector and pull it in a criss cross motion while also pulling evenly on the cable at the same time. This should pop it out easily
(Proof: I've done this over 20 times on my GT73VR). Just NEVER pull only on the cable, ever.

(if you dont have fingernails you are going to need a tool to grasp the plastic white tab edges).

It is like this. That tape in there makes it really hard to access the white plastic tab. MSI told me to just gently pull it using the cables evenly since there are so many cables it won't damage it lol.
