    hi all,

    title says my question. i've been googling around, but still not sure. i got BSOD when i enabled it from BIOS. i checked MSI's site, Intel proc updates only availabe for win7.
    can anybody explain to me how to do if it's really possible ? thank you.

    did you try going into safemode and installing the ACHI driver after you enabled it?

    First enable it in bios and when you install the system you need to install the driver manually. If you installed in compatible mode then the AHCI mode won't work when you turn it on.

    @ moral & kirr : thanks for your reply. i have xp pro installed already but haven't tried safe mode AHCI installation yet. anyway, further digging over this awesome forum, i came across this article :

    so it's possible to enable it without windows reinstall. but a complete back up needed.
