The Notebook Review forums were hosted by TechTarget, who shut down them down on January 31, 2022. This static read-only archive was pulled by NBR forum users between January 20 and January 31, 2022, in an effort to make sure that the valuable technical information that had been posted on the forums is preserved. For current discussions, many NBR forum users moved over to NotebookTalk.net after the shutdown.

    I didn't know whether this belonged in the Linux or MSI forum. Mods, feel free to move it if necessary.

    I am almost sold on the MSI GT627-218. I'll be buying in mid-August at the latest so if the GT628 happens to be out by then I'll get that.

    The last nagging thing I can't seem to find an answer for is this: Does Linux run well on it? I run Linux Mint which an offshoot of Ubuntu so if its supported in any Linux distro it'll be supported by Mint. Anyone tried this at all? Issues?
