I know these two options are available in the bios to either disable or enable, Factory default is to have them both enable. I know that they deal with throttling the CPU but what I am looking to do is have the CPU not throttle and just be at its constant high speed.

So should I disable them or am I misinformed and they have to be enabled for best game performance and such.

    Thanks in advance!

If you disable SpeedStep your CPU will not throttle. Also if this option is disabled you CPU will never go in C3 state. I will suggest you to put your computer in "High Performance" if you are using Vista, or if you use XP set it to "Always on". I did so (in Vista) and I don't have any remarks about performance. And just to say I play Crysis now :) (Little late, but better late than never :D)

What about " Gfx Low Power Mode" setting under Chipset Configuration/North Bridge Configuration?

    What does this option do?

Does this lappy have dual cards?

I see "Internal Graphics Mode Select" with Disabled, Enabled 32MB, Enabled 64MB and Enabled 128MB options...

    Cheers!

the c4 c3 option was really usefull for me, disabling them removed that annoying cpu high pitched noise I got when pc wasnt using full cpu power. So i wont be upgrading bios then.
