Was wondering if the stock screen on the gt60 is decent or not?

The screen upgrade is hefty, not doing any color sensitive work but do admire quality when gaming

IMO, matte is the way to go. I absolutely love the screen on the gt60! It seems very vivid, and detailed. I will never go back to a gloss-type. And unless you're doing heavy video/photo processing, there's no need for the upgrade really.

I heard that the screen is the any drawback of the gt60/70 im also wondering on how good is the glossy upgrade because as you say I like quality when gaming and glossy for me is not a big issue since I'm gonna be playing in the dark

The stock screen is excellent on the GT60, Love it and the Matte look. It would be hard for me to go back to a glossy screen after using the GT60 for about 1 month now...

I was actually looking for comparison of both Matte screens, Xotic offers the 95% color matte upgrade to the GT60 (along with a glossy but no thanks)

I have absolutely no complaints with the stock matte screen on the GT60. Perhaps if I were doing professional design work or photo editing I'd consider the upgrade to a wider colour gamut, but for standard "desktop" use there's nothing at all wrong with the stock screen.
