Prelude: (can skip this part, but I recount what I did in the past week or so leading up to the problem)

I updated drivers about a week ago to 376.33. The only thing I played was Bulletstorm, which failed spectacularly giving multiple BSODs, and decided it wasn't worth it and I uninstalled the game and moved on.

    End Prelude.

Fast forward to today, I was trying to set DOOM to run with my nvidia card, when I noticed the options weren't there anymore. I tried launching nvidia control panel, and it told me I had no nvidia card installed. I check the device manager and I see "Windows has stopped this device because it has reported problems. (Code 43)." with a value of 0000002B.

    What I've tried so far:

    https://www.drivereasy.com/knowledg...this-device-because-it-has-reported-problems/ everything in here.

Uninstalling using DDU and rolling back to 347.88

No dice with any of those.

I'm considering flashing my bios ( https://forums.geforce.com/default/...ard-not-working-anymore/post/4831347/#4831347 ) but there's no windows 10 bios update on the msi website so I'm hesistant on doing that.

Try doing an OS refresh first before flashing your BIOS/EC/VBIOS.

What does an OS refresh do? Like a clean reinstall?

Yeah, it would be worth trying a clean install.

Blah, that might not be worth it / viable in my current situation. Maybe I'll just hold out until the semester ends and get a new laptop
