Hi, i am thinking to swap over my gtx680m to my alienware m17xr as the alienware 680m is dead. So my question is
1. will 780m or 880m work? ( i heard 780m works but you need to flash the gt60 bios to 10p or 30p)
2. My msi gt60 is a windows 7 machine with E16F3IMS.10S bios, i tried looking everywhere on the net for a 10p or 30p bios but no luck. And is it windows 7 bios or windows 8? Any idea where i can get them?
3 Will optimus work with the gtx780m or 880m with the 10p or 30p bios?
Hope anyone can enlighten me on this.
Thank You.

1. Unlikely, but there may be a viable vBIOS that will work. This is something someone else with experience will need to answer.
2. 10p or 30p? MSI's site has 10u and 30u: http://www.msi.com/product/nb/GT60_0NE.html#/?div=BIOS&os=All Since firmware is standalone from the OS, your version of Windows doesn't play a big role in upgrading the system BIOS.
3. That will depend on the firmware - both system and vBIOS (assuming either card will work). Assuming the card can be flashed and configured to work, then switchable graphics should still be a go as well. -

It must be .10p or .30p otherwise it will not work.
GT60 0ne upgrade to gtx780m or 880m
