I have the GS72 6QE with the 256GB Storage and it uses the Toshiba one - NVMe THNSN5256GPU7 TO

How do you like the stealth? Specifically the construction quality and how hot does it get during surfing the Web vs gaming.

I've gone through a few laptops (some returned due to defects and some sold) in the past couple of months before the GS72 and I love this the most.

    Laptops I've gone through include:

    1. MSI GS60 6QE Full HD
    - Good, bright, matte screen
    - Horrible light bleed
    - Fan always audible (but can be remedied with tweaks)

    2. MSI GS60 6QE 4K
    - Even though screen is 4K, it's a pentile one. It has that dotted, comic book look.
    - Mustard yellow problem
    - Still some light light bleed
    - Fan always audible (but can be remedied with tweaks)

    3. Dell XPS 15 9550 4K
    - Screen is significantly better compared to the GS60 4K but with red color shift problem
    - Light and compact
    - Runs quiet

    4. Razer Blade 14 2016
    - Awesome specs on paper
    - Runs hot
    - Fan is always audible
    - Build quality issues
    - Narrow viewing angle (most disappointing for me)

    5. MSI GS72 6QE 4K
    - Fan is surprisingly quiet probably due to larger size.
    - Maybe I lucked out but the 4K screen is perfect. No light bleed, fantastic viewing angle, bright, and matte. If only I could have it with touch too...
    - Tons of ports
    - CPU temperature is around mid 40s ~ 50 °C for office work on AC. Lower on battery.
    - CPU temperature is around mid 70s to 80°C for gaming on AC.
    - Left palm rest gets warm when gaming on AC.

Appreciate the feedback. I am sure it would get warm on your lap, seen some reviews mention that. I am a little disappointed that they choose to barely put any venting on the bottom compared to the GE72 series. It's almost puzzling.

I was also considering the GE72 Apache Pro 070 model due to thermal reasons. Just annoyed that for the same price you get the same laptop except instead of a 512gb M.2 you get a 128gb. I have read that the the Apache 070 model includes and IPS screen and some say it doesn't. Maybe that is the reason for the smaller M.2.
