I recently bought a used GS63VR on Ebay. It was working fine until last night. When I turned it on, the screen just stays black. I plugged it into an external monitor and it worked, but only after windows is loaded.

In windows, when I right click on the desktop, there is no option for 'Intel Graphics Options' (not sure if it's supposed to be there but I had a GS70 before, and it had it).

In Device Manager, you can see the Intel Graphics Driver.

Finally, in nVidia graphic options, you can see the external monitor listed as being connected, but no mention of the laptop display.

Any idea or solution will be greatly appreciated

Try reinstalling the Intel graphics driver.

You could also try to reset the bios, since you cannot get it to show up on external screen most likely you are left with the option to hold power button for 30 seconds. But I cannot guarantee it will work OR even that it wouldn't make the problem worse. Doesn't seem like a windows issue if even msi logo will not show.

Thanks for the replies. I already tried both of those suggestions, but they didn't help. My guess at this point is that the integrated graphics hardware has failed. I was able to get the warranty information from the person I bought it from, and I'll call MSI on Monday.
