I just bought the new MSI GS60 Pro 4K with the Intel i7 5700. It only comes with one (1) m.2 128GB SSD hard drive. I want to RAID 0.

Do I buy the m.2 128GB SATA or PCIe?

    You want m.2 SATA.

Why did you recommend SATA over PCIe? m.2 PCIe is a lot faster than m.2 SATA. Will m.2 PCIe work in a RAID 0 configuration?

The slots support sata only and your drive will be sata. At the moment pci-e does not provide much of an advantage due to chipset limitations and a small selection if drives.

SATA is a mature and popular technology, PCIe is still catching and will eventually.

Why RAID 0 as well? I really understand its appeal in a spinner but unless you are big into benchmarking it gives little real world performance increase and if one drive goes down all data is gone.
