    GL73 8RC vs GE62 7RD...

    Hey all, looking to buy one of these for my son. He likes watching movies/youtube a lot, and maybe some very casual gaming, but not much. He's OK with either the 15inch or the 17inch. Both models I'm looking at have very similar specs.
    The GL is about 300 cheaper, on sale for about 1100 Canadian.
    The GE I found at staples on sale for 1399 Canadian.

    Question - Is the -quality- of build on the GL much worse than the GE?? That is a bigger concern to me than the price diff or screen size (and don't care about VR ready).

    IIRC the GL is based on a previous iteration of the GE, so shouldn't be a whole lot of difference.
