    Hello!

Recently bought a GL62M 7REX and I am having some issues with performance. I get micro stuttering in almost any quick paced game. Also I used IXT the other day and it showed that my I7 was power throttling whilst playing Rocket League. Since then I have lowered the core voltage to around -0.150 and I haven't seen any power throttling so far but I have to do more tests. However I still cannot get the CPU to reach 3.8GHz in Turbo Boost. It usually hovers around 3.4GHz and sometimes for a second or less reaches 3.65GHz (Even when I do stress tests for single core I cannot reach Turbo Boost Max, it hover around 3.6GHz which I find a bit low) CPU seems to be moving alot during gaming and not keeping still, is this normal?

Temperatures are fine, usually around low 70s while gaming.

I am also playing PUBG where I think my performance is really low for this PC. Even if I play everything on very low except for distance set at very high, I cannot keep a FPS above 60 FPS. Is this normal?

The 7700HQ is locked. It will run MAX 3.4 ghz on 4 cores and 3.8 ghz only on ONE core. You will almost never see 3.8 ghz because even if something is using only 1 core, windows will still using other threads, which will force the CPU to a lower clock.

yeah, it's normal, PUBG is early access and really poorly optimized, so it's standard foryou to struggle with FPS.

If you lower the core voltage down especially by that much, then it's normal that it won't get full performance on turbo. I could probbaly help you with teamviever making the CPU run at full power without issues if you like.

I see! What would you do to make it run at full power? Are there any specific settings for the I7 7700HQ you are thinking about?

    Thanks!

Not sure, that's why I suggested teamviewer.
