I just picked one up at the Microcenter with the 3080.
I'm going to test it out for 2 weeks and decide whether I'll keep it.
So far the speakers are much improved over last year's GS66.
Looks like it needs a repaste.
I'm not a fan of these plastic builds.
The screen is decent I haven't noticed any backlight bleed.

Does it have Thunderbolt?

Hi, I currently have MSI GE75/RTX2070/i7-10750h laptop and I am allergic to noise while I navigate through WWW or write documents, therefore I use Dragon center to keep Fan 1 and Fan 2 around 1500-1600 rpm. I also undervolted CPU. I use this laptop as desktop PC replacement.
Now I read that RTX 3070 GPU has much lower TDP than my RTX 2070 and I have questions regarding GE76/RTX3070/i7 10870h:
1) is it possible to keep fans almost inaudible using Dragon Center or whatever? I mean during a low workload - like writing documents?
2) is GE76 with RTX 3070 cooler and quieter than GE 75 with RTX 2070 during gaming? RTX 3070 has much lower tdp...
3) is CPU undervolting still possible in GE76? (it is not popular procedure so I understand if you don't know).
4) coil whine absent? -
1: Dragon center still has "Silent" under "User Scenario" and there is a "Noise Cancellation" tab which uses your speakers/microphone to do noise cancellation like ANC headphones. Given that, with Silent mode select and the noise cancellation on while writing this post, I can still hear the fan and it's going at 2400RPM. This could be improved with liquid metal. I have a GS66 w/2080 Super with liquid metal and my fan speed drops to 0 in Silent mode. Further, there is a User mode where you can set your fan speeds.
2: I don't have a GE75 to test.
3: CPU undervolting is available however, when I try it, the system crashes while stress testing.
4: I have not noticed any coil whine but that's probably luck of the draw. -
Thanks for the reply. I think I will be able to afford GE76 in April. I will get one and if it suits my needs I will keep it otherwise return it.

HaloGod2012 Notebook Virtuoso
I've had one for a week. Got some impressive benchmark scores. Broke 34k gpu in firestrike and 13K timespy!

Low 12k consistantly.
Any overclocking on the gpu or gpu mem causes a crash. -

Samsung memory as well.
I'll try a few more time to OC.
Did you repaste?
I'm considering liquid metal or mx4.Attached Files:

I bought this as a desktop replacement.
It's connected to my G9. -
I've also noticed with discrete mode enabled, displayPort over usb-c and displayPort does not work and crashes the system. (dual monitors)
Probably working as intended but should not cause a crash. -
Managed to OC.
+175 on GPU/MEM
12634 on Timespy. -
This system is very unstable.
No overclocking. No repaste.
All stock. Windows and BIOS up to date.
I think this one is going back and I'll wait for ASUS or Razer.Attached Files:

No OC, no repaste, no xtu/throttlestop, no under volting.
If it's still unstable after a week, I'll take a refund and move on. -

The only must for this system is undervolt, which can be unlocked in the advanced bios. I'm running -100mv and it's a huge difference -
These laptops are like a lottery.
Two backlight bleed spots.
No undervolt on the cpu or crashes.
GPU max +125 OC.
GPU MEM +200 OC.
If there are no random crashes I'll keep it and repaste.Attached Files:

lol i smell bull....its you not the laptop

I decided to keep it.
I upgraded the SSD to 2x 2TB WD Black SN750's in raid 0.
I repasted with liquid metal and the CPU temp never goes above 80C and the GPU temp never goes above 60C.Last edited: Feb 27, 2021 -

I can confirm there is no USB-c charging.
