EDIT: Nevermind. My brother had put it in eco mode while I wasn't looking. I didn't notice because this eco mode is an MSI thing and I was just checking the Windows power options.

Got my MSI GE62VR. After hearing all the complaints about lots of bloatware, I started uninstalling things I clearly didn't need. After that I got Overwatch running and, as expected, fps was like 80-90 on Ultra. Later I think I restarted the computer and ran Overwatch again and suddenly my fps is like 29 in the menu and 35-ish in game. I checked and I am in fact using the dedicated 1060, not the Intel graphics. Temperatures are fine. All I uninstalled was stuff like MAGIX and photo viewers and stuff. I disabled things like Steel Series from launching on startup, but that stuff is all still on the machine. The laptop was plugged in.

Is there a way to do a factory reset? Any Ideas why this is happening?

Blegh...I always hate this awkward "fix the new computer" phase. It's like I know it can be a great machine but you have to clean the junk first.

Any thoughts at all much appreciated.

    1. Press the power button to boot up the system.
    2. Press [F3] Hotkey when MSI Logo is appearing. System will boot to [Recovery Environment].
    3. Please select [Troubleshoot] in menu.
    4. Select [Restore MSI factory settings] to remove all user data and reinstall the factory image.
