Hey guys, so my daughter stepped on my GE 60 and cracked the LCD portion of the screen. I saw there were some on eBay for around $120-$150 so I was going to get it as it matched the exact specs I have now. My question is, how hard is it to install it? It doesn't come with the outer plastic piece, so I wasn't sure if it was hard to do or if there was maybe a tutorial.
Here is the one I found: http://www.ebay.com/itm/15-6-LCD-Sc...Laptop_Screens_LCD_Panels&hash=item5aebc221c0
I have a GE60-0ND-042US.

I really appreciate the help man! Did that screen on eBay look like the stock (nicer) screen for the GE 60? Anywhere else you know that they sell them for a decent price? -
Try laptopscreen.com or lcd4less.com.

You may find the higher color gamut screens cheaper than the unknown screen in post #1 by doing a search of the screen part numbers listed below
95% NTSC Color Gamut 15.6" AUO B156HW01 V.4 Matte Screen
95% NTSC Color Gamut 15.6" AUO B156HW01 V.7 Glossy Screen
Cheaper Screen:
60% NTSC Color Gamut 15.6" AUO B156HW01 V.5 Glossy Screen -
I suggest, like others mentioned, shop around. Screens are not that expensive and you can really improve your experience with a great looking screen.

Perfect excuse to upgrade IMO
If a shop does it they will source the cheapest panel they can.
