Hi guys, I'm considering the Apache Pro but I understand that it uses the old keyboard customization software. Any ideas why or if they'll update it to the new one soon? I'm also looking at a few notebook coolers but would a large, single fan configuration be better than a few small fans that can be positioned individually?

    Thanks guys.

EDIT: Guess I'll have to wait for the Windows 7 drivers as well...

old keyboard customization? i dont think so ... it already uses new...
i dont think cooling pad is necessary, i would recommend you to just repaste that creepy thermal paste :) ...
Windows 8.1 is perfect i dont see a reason to downgrade it ...

Anyways I am curious about battery life :/

I saw GentechPC's video review on the GE60/70 and they said one of the differences between the two was that the GE60 had the previous keyboard software that only lets you change the colors (no macro setting abilities). Maybe their review unit came with the old software installed by mistake?

Anyway, I have my own reasons for keeping Win7 and I'm also curious about battery life, haven't found many reviews talking about that...

It's strange to me that the GE70 Apache has Windows 7 driver support but not the GE60... Most drivers seem to be the same in any case, with a few differences.
